Hike - Greyrock Recreational Trail

Distance - 7.0 mi round trip
Elevation Gain - 2300 ft
Difficulty - Moderate to Hard
Time - 4:10
Description - Greyrock Recreational Trail is in Poudre Canyon about 17 miles from Fort Collins. This was a challenging hike with a lot of elevation gain in a short distance. The top of the hike gets pretty rocky as you work your way around Greyrock. At the summit the last 15 vertical feet is a little freaky as you are standing higher than anything around for a great distance. There were two crows that didn't seem to be too pleased with people standing on their perch. The views from the top were spectacular (see the panorama in the Picasa web album). When we headed back down a thunderstorm rolled in and it started to rain just a bit. We were glad to be making our way down although there were many hikers on their way up. All around a really fun hike for a Sunday morning.

Hey! Sounds like you are having fun on all your hikes and bikes. The panoramic shot was really cool! You'll have to let me know what program you used to creat that.
