Hike - Skyline Trail - Mount Rainier

Distance - 5.2 mi loop
Elevation Gain - 1650 ft
Difficulty - Moderate
Time - 4:30
Description - This is a hike on the Skyline Trail at Mount Rainier in Washington. The Skyline Trail is a 5.2 mile loop that has about a 1,400 feet elevation gain. About three quarters of the trail was covered in snow when we hiked it in early July. The loop took us about 4 hours and 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. We left about 9:45 am which is about the same time that most teams ascending Mount Rainier leave this same point. It was fun hiking along side them, happy we weren't carrying the heavy packs they had. This was a great hike with amazing views of Mount Adams, Mount St. Helens and Mount Hood.
