Hike - Mallory Cave

Distance - 2.5 mi round trip
Elevation Gain - 940 ft
Difficulty - Easy, Moderate (for last 100 ft)
Time - 1:30
Description - This hike started on the WalterOrr Roberts Nature Trail at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research) to Mallory Cave. The hike was about 2.5 miles with an elevation gain of 940 ft. This was an easy hike except for the last 100 ft that was a good scramble up a granite face. In the summer the cave is full of bats, but at this time of year it is empty.

the rock is sandstone, not granite.

This is not an easy to moderate hike. It is definitely not for those who haven't hiked before.
